We collect information that you provide directly to us or that is generated during your use of the platform:

• Google Account Identity: When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your basic profile information: full name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique Google user ID.
• Candidate Career Profile & CV: Resumes/CVs uploaded (file text, structure, work experience, education, skills, and summary), desired roles, target seniority, salary expectations, location preferences, notice periods, and language proficiencies.
• Application Screening Answers: Onboarding responses regarding visa sponsorship requirements, right-to-work status, and employer questionnaire answers.
• Billing & Payment Data: Subscription status, Stripe customer IDs, transaction receipts, and billing history. Credit card and banking credentials are processed directly by Stripe and never stored on Job Genie servers.
• System Logs & Usage Telemetry: Anonymized application progression, stage progression timestamps, browser type, and error diagnostics for platform reliability.

3. Google User Data Policy

Job Genie’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We strictly use your Google authentication credentials to verify your identity and manage your Job Genie account.
• We never sell your Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, or third-party marketplaces.
• We never use Google user data to serve personalized third-party advertisements.
• Your Google credentials are encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3 and at rest via Google Cloud KMS.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your data for the following legitimate purposes:

• To match candidate career preferences against active tech employer openings.
• To prepare tailored candidate cover notes and synthesize accurate answers for job screening forms.
• To submit completed job applications directly to employer Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) at your explicit request.
• To manage your active subscription tier and process billing via Stripe.
• To detect and prevent technical faults, rate limit violations, or abusive automated scripts.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We only share data with trusted infrastructure providers essential to delivering the Job Genie service:

• Google Cloud & Firebase (EU/UK): Encrypted cloud database (Cloud Firestore) and OAuth authentication infrastructure.
• Stripe Inc.: Payment processing, customer portal, and invoice settlement.
• Vercel Inc.: Serverless web hosting and edge compute delivery.
• Employer ATS Endpoints: When an application is filed, your CV and answers are transmitted directly to the respective hiring company’s recruiting system (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday).

6. Data Retention & Your Legal Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), EU GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you hold clear statutory rights regarding your personal information:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of all personal profile and application data stored.
• Right to Rectification: Edit or correct any inaccuracies in your career profile at any time.
• Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request the permanent deletion of your account, CV, and application logs.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Request suspension of automated applying activities.

7. Security Measures
